Good afternoon,
I would like to announce that Goodwill's new offices in Kansas are now open and serving clients. We are located at the Workforce Partnership centers in KCK (552 State Ave) and Overland Park (9221 Quivira Rd).
Anyone who is homeless (or about to become so), on probation/parole, or receiving public assistance (e.g., TANF, food stamps, etc.) is eligible for the Kansas Job Hunters' Program. All new clients must first attend an orientation, held Mondays at 8:30 a.m. in Johnson and Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. in Wyandotte. The program's 11-year-old Missouri counterpart helped 661 homeless job hunters find gainful employment in 2008, and has had a success rate of approximately 80%. Please see the attached flyer for details.
We will also be taking referrals for our disability job placement program at these offices. Nick Payne, Director of Kansas Rehabilitation Services, will be available by appointment. He can be reached at (913) 927-3563, (816) 842-7425 x252, or .
To refer your clients to the Job Hunters' Program, you may simply direct them to attend an orientation at either location. Please provide a signed referral letter. Thank you!
